The Academy for International Science and Research (AISR), Northern Ireland’s first independent B-STEM (business and STEM) school located in the historic walled city of Derry, also known as Londonderry on the west bank of the River Foyle in the North West of Ireland.
AISR is an award-winning academy and is fully UK and internationally accredited. It is also ISO 9001:2015 certified. This level of accreditation and certification gives students and parents reassurance that our Quality standards are of a high level and that student welfare and education is our priority. We are also an approved centre for various UK awarding bodies and offer accredited and validated qualifications through the Open College Network, ASIQUAL (working in partnership with LRN) and the CPD Standards Office UK.
AISR has been established in response to a clear market need to address the decline in the interest, enjoyment and uptake of science, technology, engineering and maths subjects among students, particularly at school leaver age. AISR is also committed to the teaching of the broader STEM areas, including business, administration, careers, digital media and teaching and lecturing.
Why? Because in the post-Brexit era, a skilled workforce in Northern Ireland has been highlighted as a major necessity in developing the local economy with performance of STEM subjects playing a vital role to the overall health and wealth of our economy.
Our new Derry-Londonderry campus is now open offering international students vocational training to the highest standards from entry-level to postgraduate level 7. Knowledge and skills are reinforced by using real-life scenarios and project-based learning which will provide you with diverse transferable skills.
