International students:
They enjoy the college environment and small classes, average
four students. They are given support English and Study Skills
tuition which also prepare students for the IELTS examination.
If their level of English is too low, they take our Intensive
English course first.
Academic Courses:
We offer Two Year, Eighteen Month, One Year Intensive and Retake
courses in over 30 subjects at GCSE and A Level from: Arts, Business,
Humanities, Languages, Mathematics and Science, supported by Study
Skills. Two year A level course students take 3 AS subjects in
the first year and 3 A2 subjects in the second year.
Foundation Courses prepare students for direct entry to the first
year of university degree courses. September – June and
January- June depending on students’ age and qualifications.
Link courses for overseas students combine either GCSE or A Level
subjects with English, Study Skills and Information Technology
for university entrance.
A counselor is available to discuss progress and any problems
they may have.
English Courses:
We teach English for 50 weeks a year, both as a main and support
subject, for the Cambridge examinations (100% success rate) including
IELTS.
We offer General, Examination, Academic, Business and Executive
English courses. We also provide tailor made courses, one-to-one
tuition and pre-sessional course for schools, colleges and universities
Summer courses combine English with sports, activities, excursions,
videos and discos. These include horse riding and tennis with
professional coaching and Information Technology. Juniors have
1:10 escort ratio.
Students on All Year English courses have a personal tutor to
discuss progress and any problems they may have.
Ages: All Year: 15+years. Summer: Juniors 12-16 years, Adults
17+years. Levels: All
Accommodation:
Students stay with carefully selected host families or residence
near the college. The Accommodation Officer selects the host families
and is always available for help.
Staff:
Our academic tutors are experienced and highly qualified, many
are examiners. Our English teachers have degrees and recognized
English teaching qualifications (CELTA and DELTA)
Travel:
We can meet you and bring you to Harrogate which is 20 km from
Leeds-Bradford airport (flights via London, Amsterdam, Brussels,
Dublin and Paris). Manchester airport is 120km with good rail
and coach links and we arrange airport transfers if required.
Harrogate is less than three hours by train from London.
Insurance:
We advise students to have their own travel, medical and possessions
insurance, but this can be arranged once they arrive at the college.

The College is a member of EducationUK, EnglishUK, CIFE, QISAN,
Leeds Chamber of Commerce and the Yorkshire Tourist Board.
