HTMi, the School of International Hotel and Tourism Management Switzerland is located in the picturesque mountains of Soerenberg, in 2 typically Swiss hotels offering a high quality study environment reflecting the best qualities of safe, beautiful and rich culture of Swiss life.

Soerenberg is a famous holiday resort in the Canton of Luzern in Central Switzerland and is known for its pleasant climate and easy access to Italy, Austria, Germany and France. In winter, Soerenberg is renowned for its excellent winter sport activities, especially skiing and snowboarding. In Spring and Summer, it is striking green and offers a clean environment.

HTMi is a quality focused institute imparting higher education based on the Swiss policy style of professional training in accordance with the standards of Swiss, American, and United Kingdom academic traditions. Our curriculum is as follows

1. Undergraduate program: 2.5 year Higher Diploma course in International Hotel & Tourism Management. It comprises of the Certificate, Diploma and Higher diploma program each for a duration of 20 weeks every year.

2. Post Graduate program: 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in International Hotel & Tourism Management

3. Following the above mentioned programs, students can undertake Bachelors or Masters Degree courses that are awarded at

• University of Ulster, UK
• University of North London, UK
• University of Birmingham, UK
• Johnson and Wales University, USA

HTMi has also been authorized by the University of Ulster UK, to offer its Bachelor degree on campus in Soerenberg Switzerland. What are the benefits of this degree?

• University of Ulster is ranked amongst the top five in UK for its hospitality course
• Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Hotel & Tourism management
• A duration of 24 weeks i.e. 6 months only
• BA Hons Hotel and Tourism Management graduates are much in demand by the industry and have a broad range of career opportunities open to them.

During the second half of each year for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate course, HTMi places students in Hotels and Restaurants in Switzerland for a period of 20 – 24 weeks. They shall receive minimum gross wages worth Sfr 2000 per month from which a minimum tax is deducted. At the end of all successful internships, students obtain Work experience certificates from their respective Hotel or Restaurant which they may add to your CV as work experience. Moreover, completion of a course from our institute will entitle HTMi graduates to various job placements available worldwide.

• In Restaurants
• In the Kitchen of a 5star hotel, a restaurant or even a cruise liner
• Catering (Airlines, Trains, banquets, Outdoor, theme parties, event mgt. etc).
• Front Office, Reservations, Marketing & Sales, Hotel Accounts.
• Travel Agency, Tour Operator, Eco- Tourism

HTMi is a challenging environment academically as study time is intensive. However, there is also a beautiful environment for students to relax in and enjoy both on school premises as well as in other nearby countries.

HTMi is offering the following facilities to all its students:

• Excellent conference rooms for classrooms featuring state of the art teaching aids
• Top-quality kitchens for training and cooking student meals
• Internet access in both buildings
• 120 seat restaurant
• A large indoor heated swimming pool cum sauna available at no extra cost at agreed times
• Bedrooms with televisions and telephones
• Student lounges and a bar
• Student gym
• A bowling alley
• Mini – theatre

A post office, bank and a shopping centre are also located nearby.

HTMi has two starting dates each year. The first session starts in February followed by another session in August for a duration of 20 weeks for each course. We are also an English speaking hotel management institution, with students from more than 40 countries around the world.

Entry Requirements:

• Minimum 17 years of age
• High School Education
• Fluent English (TOEFL 450-500 or IELTS 5-5.5 or equivalent HTMi English Placement test score)
