Bradford College
The institution that would eventually become Bradford
College was founded in 1832. Over the next 170 years the College
has gone from strength to strength and, after many merges and
expansions, is now the second largest of its kind in the country
with a student body of around 30,000.
Bradford College has offered vocational degree courses for more
than 30 years. Many of the higher education programmes carry professional
qualifications recognised by industry and commerce, and there
are often opportunities for students to gain work experience during
their time at the College.

Bradford is in West Yorkshire, the biggest county in England
and located in the north of the country, three hours away from
London and three hours from Edinburgh.
The nearest airports are Manchester and Leeds Bradford international
airports. A meet-and-greet service collects international students
from both airports.
The English Language Centre offers English language courses that
attract students from around the world. The College is a founder
member of BASELT (British Association of State English Language
Teaching) and all the language courses are validated by the British
Council through the English in Britain Accreditation Scheme.
All undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Bradford
College are accredited by Leeds Metropolitan University, while
other higher education and vocational qualifications are awarded
by Edexcel (BTEC) and other national organisations.
The College’s halls of residence are only five to 10 minutes
walk away from the main college building and offer accommodation
for approximately 1,000 students.
All accommodation at Bradford College is self-catering with cookers
and fridge-freezers provided in kitchen areas, a laundry in the
main building and a refectory which is open during the week for
meals and refreshments.
International students often choose to be housed within the homestay
system, particularly students studying at the English Language
Centre, the European Centre or those on European exchange schemes.
